{ Hayley + Chris } | Marquee Wedding | Oldway Mansion, Paignton Devon

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of second shooting for Chris Beaumont (Gryphon Photography) in Paignton, Devon. I know Chris from a photography forum and thought it would be a nice change to second shoot for someone seeing I had the weekend free – ok, I must admit it being in Devon was a big draw too and I decided to might as well make a weekend of it (hence the holiday snaps!). It was an interesting experience as Chris’s style is very different from my own. As you may know, I am mainly a natural light photographer and don’t tend to pose my couples much. Chris, on the other hand, is the master of lighting with great big softbox, loads of off camera lights and battery as heavy as me! He composed and planned his couple portraits and used different types of off-camera lighting for each pose. It was very fascinating working with someone with such different style.

So here is my take of Hayley & Chris’s special day (click here for Chris’s images).

I just don’t think places like that exist in the US. Amazing! Love that cake. Love the bright airy tone to these images.

Looks like you did a really nice job complementing the primary shooting and taking great shots without repeating the primary’s photos, which is really hard to do!
